The purpose of this report was to describe the work carried out by the author in the logistics unit, the Distribution Center of a network of retail stores, located in the municipality of São Jose, SC. In this work, the evaluation of the indicator of time of permanence of the national suppliers vehicles in the distribution center stands out. This indicator aims at four hours, but the first information obtained reported a time of nine hours. With the accomplishment of the studies and analyzes it was perceived that the real time was of five hours and fifty-six minutes, a time still above the stipulated goal. As the studies were being developed, it was possible to perceive the complexity and the interrelationship among the different areas, as well as their influence on the total time of the indicator. The accomplishment of this study allowed to define the several actions to be developed for the attainment and later improvement of the time of the indicator time of permanence of the national supplier vehicles. Also presented are several proposals for improvements in the processes of the other areas of the unit under study.
