    (2022-09-30) Will, Amanda

    (2020) Reis, Mateus Barreto
This work has as its main theme biosafety against COVID-19, seeking to identify which are the main aspects to be analyzed in an industry related to biosafety, and which are the possible control measures to be applied. Initially, a bibliographic study on biosafety and COVID-19 was carried out, thus allowing a theoretical basis for carrying out the case study, providing subsidies for the application of the biosafety diagnosis against COVID-19. This study showed the strong relationship between work safety and prevention against the pandemic, and although COVID- 19 is not directly an occupational risk, being present in the workplace, they end up compromising the health and safety of workers. Likewise, as well as complying with safety and health legislation at work, it is up to companies to also ensure the prevention of their workers in relation to the Coronavirus. After applying the diagnosis, an action plan was proposed with preventive measures to be taken, so that the company can thus comply with the other legal obligations, as well as guarantee the health and safety of workers and the public who come to access its facilities.

Safety in electrical installations in containers in construction sites
    (2021) Pires Junior, José Nilton
Containers are temporary structures necessary for a good progress in activities at construction sites, in addition to having an attractive cost benefit, the question of mobility also makes its use very advantageous, because when a work is completed the use of the same containers in another work it is very practical and without much waste of time. However, due to the speed with which mobility works on the construction sites, due care is not always taken with the electrical installations, thus increasing the risks of electric shock due to the conditions of the installations in containers within the construction sites. This work initially presents statics of accidents within construction sites involving electricity, then the requirements of the minimum conditions required in regulatory standards NR-10 and NR-18 were addressed. Finally, we present improvements made in containers that will be used in construction sites, following the minimum required by the Brazilian safety rules so that the activities involving the containers are safe.

    (2020) Pupim, Eduardo Stradiotto
Agriculture-related activities predate the existence of the country itself. Over time, such activities were developed, modernized, and new production methods were implemented, giving rise to agribusiness, a model that uses mechanization and chemicals - pesticides - to achieve high production and productivity rates. Currently, agribusiness is one of the most important activities in Brazil, responsible for a large part of its economy. The growth of agribusiness, however, is responsible for the increased use of pesticides, making the country today one of the largest consumers of these substances. The main victims of this unrestrained use are workers in the sector, who, in addition to being directly and frequently exposed to the most varied types of pesticides, face numerous other social and economic barriers. For this reason, this study aimed to analyze and describe who are agribusiness workers, which pesticides are used, which levels of toxicity and which standards are applicable, to identify the consequences of using these substances for these workers and propose possible measures to minimize these consequences. For the development of the research, which, in terms of nature, was basic, in terms of the problem, qualitative and, in terms of objectives, descriptive, the case study modality was used, with a deductive approach method, since from an analysis In general, the desired results were achieved: the identification of the consequences of the use of pesticides for the health of agribusiness workers and the making of recommendations to try to minimize the problem. Based on the results obtained, it was found that the use of pesticides poses numerous risks to the health of agribusiness workers, many of them very serious. In addition, there are other factors that, combined with the toxicity of these substances, aggravate the situation, such as the low level of education of workers, the non-use or use of inappropriate PPE, the difficulty of accessing the health system, among others. The current situation, however, can be modified with the adoption of some measures, such as the reduction / substitution of the use of pesticides and the education of workers in the sector, which depends on the union of the will of workers, of the great producers of agribusiness and of the Public Power.

The present study aimed to raise and evaluate the occupational risks to which the workers are exposed in a artisan fish leather tannery in the city of Paranaguá - PR. The fish that comes from fishing or aquaculture that is processed, will originate waste, and these should have an appropriate destination so as not to cause environmental problems. In addition, there is the addition of value after tanning, which will transform the skin into an impurifiable and highly resistant material. However, the activity of artisanal tanning of fish leather, is still carried out in a primitive way, quite manual and not very technological. The existing machinery is old and little evolved. They also rely on the use of products that can be considered harmful to the health of employees, if not used with adequate safety equipment. It was verified that the function of curator, qualitatively analyzed, presents ergonomic, chemical and accident risks. The other risks were not evaluated because they are considered non-existent. There is no use of PPE's or other control measures. For adequacy, there is the need to institute Regulatory Norms to reduce accident risks and guarantee productivity.

    (2020) Silveira, Luana
The chemical industry is an important contributor to the Brazilian GDP, with relative global prominence for being both a producer of raw materials and finished products. From the point of view of health and safety at work, it presents a considerable risk of occupational accidents. This study aimed to analyze the distribution and evolution of accidents in the Brazilian chemical industry between 2009 and 2017, as well as their consequences. The chemical industry did not suffer any impact from the economic recession and presented an increase in the number of bonds, concomitantly with the reduction in the number of registered accidents. Thus, the risk rates among the CNAE classes of the chemical industry were predominantly of decrease in the period studied. The productive restructuring of the chemical industry, with the modernization of risk processes, and the gradual predominance of the cosmetics industry, with lower risk of accidents, may partially explain the results found.

This work aims to instigate the legally qualified professional, the Workplace Safety Engineer, to the one who is responsible for carrying out work safety management in the commercial, industrial and infrastructure universe as to the real role as a manager and no longer as a man-ager. executor of existing regulatory standards (NRs) in Brazil. The method used to prepare this work was qualitative and exploratory. Data collection was the predominantly adopted method, with research to all existing NRs, reading of Confea and Crea resolutions as a subsi-dy for understanding the attributions of each area of general and specialist engineering. As a result, it is expected to demonstrate that the Safety Engineer plays a much more managerial role in the worker's health and safety process than actually executing each regulatory standard. It is hoped that the reader will understand that the specialist in Occupational Safety Engineer-ing is not competent and specialized in all 37 existing NRs, but rather a constant scholar of them so that in the management process on work fronts, they can understand them wisely re-sorting, whenever necessary, to specialists in each of the other existing engineering. It is concluded that the safety of the worker in the work process would have its objectives achieved and fulfilled and with reduced accident rates, if the understanding of the function of Work Safety Engineer was the management for which NRs are present in the work envi-ronment of this and that and thus turning to the right professionals in search of suitable solu-tions for safe work.

    (2020) Alves, Ronaldo Toretti
The generally harmful relationship between pesticides and rural workers raises the question of the need for knowledge of protective measures, such as the implementation of personal protective equipment, in order to avoid exposure to these chemical contaminants. The aim of this article was to present this interrelationship by elaborating a brief history on pesticides and also citing economic interests that basically "impose" the farmer to use them. In the following topic, the possible harmful effects (clinical condition) of these chemicals on the various systems that constitute the human body are summarized. Both in the pesticides item and in this second item, there are brief but not less important quotations on the environmental contamination of these chemical principles and how they return to harm human healthiness, especially that of the rural worker. In the approach to personal protective equipment, the legal bases that require its implementation are mentioned, although it is important to note that, despite being used as the first option, they represent in reality the last alternative in the legally regulated hierarchy.
