Building construction is still the industry which generates solid waste more than any other industrial sectors around the world and the way the rejected materials are thrown out has been the reason of many studies, owing to a great deal of damage waste causes to the environment. Concrete is a structural material mostly used in this sector and in addition to that is also very badly dismissed. This technical study has proved the sustainable and economic feasibility of the reuse of concrete waste for building concrete foundations by using bamboos instead of iron beams.

Loteamentos Urbanos: Desenvolvimento Sustentável e Qualidade de Vida
    (2019) Buss, Murilo Coradini
This research proposes a reflection on the environmental impacts that poorly planned urban landings generate, creating strategies that minimize these impacts through sustainable concepts, discussing possibles actions that can be implemented by landlords in their homes. Through planning, the new subdivision can lead to quality projects for the population, in addition to mitigating the negative impacts that are generated, seeking to preserve the environment in which they are established. Planned Urbanism is an important tool for social, environmental and economic improvements, achieved through integrated land use, afforestation, recreational and meeting spaces, waste control, proper transportation and pedestrian enhancement plans.

Although the civil construction industry plays a very important role for the Brazilian economy, many entrepreneurs and companies do not give due importance to the training of their employees. This lack of qualified employees has several consequences for the contractor, the contractor, the group and the construction site as a whole. Being aware that a duly qualified professional will bring return in the short and long term is of paramount importance for the work environment to flow and the company does not have losses not only financially, but also in terms of work execution time.

    (2019) Tosetto, Renan Dittrich
This article focuses on collecting 10 years of data, from 2008 to 2017, on workplace accidents classified as 4120 at CNAE by IBGE, in the state of Santa Catarina, in order to find trends and compare the state´s numbers at regional and national levels. Although the number of accidents in the sector has decreased, Santa Catarina state was, in 2017, the one that recorded the most occurences in its region, reaching 34,66% of the cases, and when compared at the national level, Santa Catarina was above in every year studied.

    (2020) Antoniassi, Rafael Dimon
The pace of growth in civil construction reveals good expectations as of 2019. The number of buildings under design and construction is proving to be quite aggressive. With each new project, construction companies seek to update their construction models in order to meet the new needs of their customers. Among the main needs, the reduction of electricity costs and the option of using alternative energies continue with special attention. The use of natural gas and LPG to heat water inside homes has led construction companies to adapt to the 2016 revision of standard NBR 15526, which deals with residential fuel gas distribution networks. However, some precautions must be taken so that the system meets the needs of security and good functioning of the network. In this article we describe some of the main procedures that must be performed, including design, materials, assembly, safety, testing and commissioning.

In construction companies and construction sites in the country, we often see inefficient planning, usually always late, with little or no follow-up. Constructions being delivered late, bad weather being blamed. When in the majority, the little investment in planning is to blame. This study was carried out to demonstrate how we should develop an efficient planning for unification with a 4D modeling. This qualitative explanatory applied research exemplifies the methodology that should be used for research and planning, so that the cost and redo in constructions can be reduced.

    (2019) Rebelo, Fernando Alexandre
Through the advancement of software technologies, the building industry followed this path with the objective of optimizing the design processes and visualizing the stages of construction even before entering the construction site. This made it possible to reduce costs and time, enabling the designer to analyze risks and make decisions with precision. Interior architecture was able to take advantage of these mechanisms since its design and execution process has several steps that need to be under control. Thus, 4D and 5D planning is fundamental to visualize the project construction steps linked to the execution cost, helping the designer in the decision making that may impact the final project result.
