O principal objetivo deste trabalho é demonstrar, a partir da análise do filme “Você já foi à Bahia?”, detalhes de como os EUA utilizaram aspectos específicos da cultura brasileira para tentar unir as duas culturas. É proposta a utilização da teoria da hegemonia cultural de Antônio Gramsci como ponto central da análise do tema. Deste modo, pode-se dizer que a política usada pelos Estados Unidos foi bem sucedida em associar as culturas brasileira e estadunidense a uma certa união durante o período estudado.The Good Neighbor Policy was essential for bringing the United States closer to Latin America during the Second World War, and in particular, to Brazil. The main objective of this work is to demonstrate, based on the analysis of the film “The Three Caballeros”, details of how the USA used specific aspects of Brazilian culture to try to unite the two cultures. It is proposed to use Antônio Gramsci's theory of cultural hegemony as a central point for analyzing the topic.
