Article 129 of the Brazilian Penal Code defines the crime of bodily injury as "offending the bodily integrity or the health of others". Thus, it is observed that the crime can be configured not only in the violation of physical integrity, but also in health, which includes relative and mental aspects. Thus, the author through the present work the correlation between the crime of bodily injury and psychological violence against women exploring the historical positioning of women, the institutional means of combating domestic violence against women, the differentiation of forms of domestic violence Law Maria da Penha, as well as the causal relationship between the conduct of the agent and the psychological damage spread to the victim of psychological violence in order to prove that it is a characteristic of the crime of bodily injury. For this purpose, the hypothetical-deductive method and the bibliographic and documentary procedure were used in this Course Conclusion Paper.O presente trabalho tem seu enfoque voltado à violência psicológica perpetrada em âmbito doméstico e familiar contra a mulher e o dano psíquico causado como um crime de lesão corporal. O artigo 129 do Código Penal Brasileiro define o crime de lesão corporal como “ofender a integridade corporal ou a saúde de outrem”. Sendo assim, observa-se que o crime pode ser configurado não apenas na violação da integridade física, mas também na saúde, compreendendo aspectos funcionais e mentais. Dessa forma, demonstra-se por meio da pesquisa, a correlação entre o crime de lesão corporal e a violência psicológica contra a mulher, explorando o posicionamento feminino histórico, os meios institucionais de combate à violência doméstica contra a mulher, a diferenciação das formas de violência previstas na Lei Maria da Penha, bem como a relação de causalidade entre a conduta do agente e o dano psíquico causado à vítima de violência psicológica, com o fim de provar que a violência psíquica é caracterizadora do crime de lesão corporal.
