Despite its enormous potential for tourism, culture and natural beauty, Santa Catarina's mountains are not exploited to the fullest, bringing tourism and historical-cultural heritage to the region, as it does not have planning and investments that meet the needs of users. make it an even more attractive place, highlighting its landscape and everything the Sierra has to offer. Considering the lack of quality public spaces that meet the demand for leisure and outdoor culture in the mountainous region, it is proposed to propose an urban and architectural intervention in the locality, through a park and an astronomical observatory, with the objective to revert the current deficiency, to recover the historical value of the area, to highlight the symbolic value that the Serra represents, to guarantee the preservation and maintenance of the remaining native forest and to allow a cultural and tourist inter-relation link between the municipalities of Bom Jardim da Serra and Lauro Muller, constituting an area of tourism, culture and leisure, thus contributing to the quality of life of the local population and visitors to the park.Símbolo do Sul do país e cartão postal do estado de Santa Catarina a Serra do Rio do Rastro ligada ao planalto catarinense, encontra-se como o cenário da problemática da proposta do presente trabalho. Apesar de sua enorme potencialidade turística, cultural e sua beleza natural, a Serra catarinense não é explorada ao máximo, trazendo aproveitamento turístico e valorização do patrimônio histórico-cultural para a região, por não possuir planejamento e investimentos que atendam ás necessidades dos usuários e a tornem um local ainda mais atrativo, destacando sua paisagem e tudo o que a Serra têm a oferecer.
