É a falta de proteção destes direitos, que gera uma vulnerabilidade da mulher, levando à sua inserção no tráfico de pessoas. Por compreender a dimensão da problemática do tráfico de pessoas como uma forma moderna de escravidão e suas consequências para a sociedade, o presente trabalho busca abordar o tema e apresentar formas de prevenção e proteção das vítimas desta prática criminosa, bem como os órgãos que trabalham no combate. Utilizando-se de pesquisa bibliográfica buscou-se atingir os objetivos propostos que são estudar e compreender o tráfico de pessoas e identificar os esforços, em âmbito nacional e internacional, para combatê-lo. Foi possível identificar as principais rotas do tráfico de seres humanos, o perfil das vítimas e dos traficantes e também as causas deste fenômeno, tais como a discriminação de gênero, a violência contra a mulher e a pobrezaDespite the advances of human rights in late years, at some places of the world women still endure an unfavorable level of recognition when compared to men. It is the lack of protection of women rights that generates their vulnerability and, between others matters, insert them as victims of human trafficking. Acknowledging the problem of human trafficking as a modern form of slavery and its consequences for society, this paper seeks to address the issue, present prevention and protection forms to the victims of this criminal practice, as well as the Agencies which develop actions and policies against it. Through deep research on available literature for the matter this paper aim to study and comprehend human trafficking and identify efforts, nationally and internationally, to oppose it.
