Through data collection, a comparison between these two types of operations was elaborated pointing out factors that may influence the operational safety. Statistical data on single-pilot operations was also exposed in this research, which is characterized as exploratory with documentary procedure through the analysis of documents, regulations and laws with a qualitative approach. Data analysis was done through summaries and selection of documents and regulations, evaluated in accordance to the theoretical foundation. When analyzing the results obtained from this research, it is concluded that the level of safety of air operations with not only one pilot, but also with two pilots, can achieve satisfactory levels; provided that there is a compliance of the variables that influence the operational safety.Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo avaliar operações aéreas single e dual-pilot. Através da coleta de dados, foi feita uma comparação entre esses dois tipos de operações: apontando fatores que influenciam a segurança operacional e expondo dados estatísticos sobre operações single-pilot. Caracterizada como uma pesquisa exploratória com procedimento documental, por meio de documentos, regulamentos e leis com abordagem qualitativa. A análise dos dados foi feita por meio de resumos, documentos e regulamentos, avaliados de acordo com a fundamentação teórica.
