O objetivo do estudo, é a criação de um espaço de cultura e lazer que atenda a população do bairro e seu entorno, carente de áreas de convívio social, formação profissional e artística. Empregou-se como método organizacional, a apresentação do trabalho, com a problemática teórica e arquitetônica, justificativa do tema e território; e objetivos de projeto; contextualização do tema, tendo como ponto principal a análise de teóricos, com os seguintes embaladores: Jane Jacobs; Kevin Lynch, Teixeira Coelho e Luís Milanesi; referências projetuais; contextualização do território, com informações sobre a cidade e analise do entorno do lote; anteprojeto do edifício, com setorizações e estudo de massas e referências bibliográficas. O trabalho tem como proposito, analisar a necessidade de um centro cultural na área proposta e elaboração de anteprojeto da edificação.The present work has as its theme the elaboration of the preliminary study of a Cultural and Sports Center, in the Gávea II neighborhood of the city of Vespasiano - Minas Gerais. The objective of the study is the creation of a space for culture and leisure that serves the population of the neighborhood and its surroundings, lacking areas for social interaction, professional and artistic training. As an organizational method, the presentation of the work was used, with the theoretical and architectural problematic, justification of the theme and territory; and project objectives; contextualization of the theme, having as main point the analysis of theorists, with the following packers: Jane Jacobs; Kevin Lynch, Teixeira Coelho and Luís Milanesi; design references; contextualization of the territory, with information about the city and analysis of the surroundings of the lot; preliminary design of the building, with sectorizations and study of masses and bibliographical references.
