This research was made during the year of 2020, before the implementation of the new text that will take effect on february of 2021. The theoretical basis discussing the results was bibliographic, using the texts of both versions of the norm, as well as authors with an understanding of this acting area. The results obtained by the elaboration of this essay were the indentification of the main features and benefits proposed with the new text of the regulatory norm 18 in correlation with the current one.Essa pesquisa do âmbito qualitativo tem o objetivo de correlacionar o texto vigente e o novo texto da Norma Regulamentadora 18, traçando um comparativo com a finalidade de identificar, através de fontes especializadas no tema, os benefícios e principais mudanças entre as duas versões da norma. Essa pesquisa foi realizada no decorrer do ano de 2020 antes da implementação do novo texto que entrará em vigor a partir de fevereiro de 2021. A base teórica para a discussão dos resultados foi bibliográfica, utilizando os textos das duas versões da norma, como também autores com entendimento nessa área de atuação.
