To do so, it is necessary to identify the students' initial professional choices, to verify the reasons that led the students to give up the previous choice and to evaluate the reasons for choosing the Psychology course. A qualitative exploratory research is carried out, with semistructured interviews with six students of Psychology students. Therefore, the motivations are related to factors of external influences, which means that there is no safe choice, since the recognition of professional choice as only the first step to many choices makes the process safer.Tendo em vista o aumento de alunos que ingressam no curso de Psicologia, pesquisa-se sobre motivações relacionadas à reescolha profissional de alunos ingressantes no curso de Psicologia, a fim de compreender os motivos relacionadas à reescolha profissional de alunos ingressantes no curso de Psicologia. Para tanto, é necessário identificar escolhas profissionais iniciais dos alunos, verificar os motivos que levaram os alunos à desistência da escolha anterior e avaliar os motivos da escolha do curso de Psicologia. Realiza-se, então, uma pesquisa qualitativa de caráter exploratório, com entrevistas semiestruturadas realizadas com seis alunos estudantes de Psicologia.
