To this end, we seek to conduct a case study involving the two institutions, using bibliographic and documentary reviews, in addition to demi-structured interviews with the representatives of both. As a result, a partnership contract between the institutions is presented, in addition to the mapping of a flowchart for the legal viability of international cooperation in research between institutions with legal personalities like those studied.Este estudo tem como tema a cooperação internacional em pesquisa envolvendo uma empresa de arqueologia brasileira e um instituto português advindo do terceiro setor, sobretudo na problemática de compreender os mecanismos para a formalização dessa relação. Para tal, busca-se realizar um estudo de caso envolvendo as duas instituições, instrumentalizando revisões bibliográficas e documentais, além de entrevistas semiestruturadas com os representantes de ambas.
