Data collection was carried out from the hospital's medical records, where 72 records with diagnosis of DDIV were evaluated. The most frequent breeds were the SRD, Shih Tzu and French Bulldog. The age of the animals was higher in young people and the anatomical region of the spine where the most affected was the thoracolumbar. It can be seen that some environmental factors predispose the disease, being that most of the animals, lived inside the house or in an apartment.Neste estudo foi analisado a ocorrência de cães com diagnóstico clínico de Doença do Disco intervertebral, atendidos no Hospital veterinário Darabas entre o período de janeiro a dezembro de 2018 e obtido informações a respeito de idade, raça, local da lesão, e correlacionando os fatores ambientais com a patologia. Foi realizada a coleta de dados a partir dos prontuários do hospital, onde foram avaliadas 72 fichas com diagnóstico de DDIV. As raças mais frequentes foram os SRD, Shih Tzu e Bulldog Francês. A faixa etária dos animais foi maior nos jovens e a região anatômica da coluna vertebral onde se teve maior acometimento foi a Toracolombar.
