Therefore, it is necessary to expose that theory in order to understand its limits and its application to the subject. The political motivations that involved post-war Europe in a multicultural agenda are briefly discussed, as well as the process of European importation of foreign labor and the permanence of these workers on the continent. The process of creating and developing the Nouvelle Droite is exposed through the Grouping of Research and Studies for European Civilization, GRECE in the acronym in French, precursor and alma mater of the identitarian movements that emerged in the 21st century. Data on the population growth of Muslim communities are used in order to confirm some identity hypotheses, as well as the growth of political representation of parties that confront the multiculturalist perspective. Finally, some examples of civilizational shock that serve as an argument for the development of reactionary movements are discussed.O presente trabalho tem por objetivo buscar respostas para o crescimento e a difusão dos movimentos identitários na Europa do Século XXI, analisando suas motivações em conformidade com a teoria do Choque de Civilizações e em confronto com a perspectiva multiculturalista. Para isso, faz-se necessária a exposição dessa teoria a fim de compreender seus limites e sua aplicação ao tema. Aborda-se brevemente as motivações políticas que envolveram a Europa do pós-guerra em uma agenda multicultural, bem como o processo de importação europeia de mão de obra estrangeira e da permanência desses trabalhadores no continente. Expõe-se o processo de criação e desenvolvimento da Nouvelle Droite por meio do Agrupamento de Pesquisa e Estudos para a Civilização Europeia, GRECE no acrônimo em francês, precursor e alma mater dos movimentos identitários surgidos no século XXI. Utilizam-se dados sobre o crescimento populacional das comunidades muçulmanas a fim de confirmar algumas hipóteses identitárias, assim como o crescimento da representatividade política de partidos que confrontam o multiculturalismo.
