Within this context, we will explore the reasons that led to its outbreak, the way the fighting took place, and the political backstage of this historical episode, which for some historians had an inevitable out-come. However, the problem with this research is to analyze the way in which the 1932 Revo-lution ended, addressing the controversies about the fact. The aim of the research is mainly to analyze the facts that led the constitutionalist revolutionaries to defeat by arms and to the ar-mistice with the government of Getúlio Vargas and its consequences.A Revolução Constitucionalista de 1932 marcou o Brasil do século XX. Dentro deste contexto, serão explorados os motivos que levaram à sua eclosão, a forma como transcorreram os combates, além dos bastidores políticos deste episodio histórico, que para alguns historiadores, teve um desfecho inevitável.
