For this analysis, the historical evolution of the concept of family and this institution in the Brazilian legal system was analyzed, the analysis of the term socioafetividade and its principles, multiparentality and its recognition, all being under the prism of succession law. The initial considerations will be on the concept of family in the present and its new compositions, the forms of bond between parents and children resulting from the affective bond under the aegis of the principle of the dignity of the human person and affectivity. The theme is developed in order to clarify how inheritance law has been encompassing this new Brazilian legal reality. Finally, a jurisprudential analysis of the position of the courts regarding cases involving these institutes, as well as the effects of their recognition, will be contemplated. Succession Law.O presente trabalho tem por escopo principal demonstrar os efeitos no direito sucessório que surgem após o reconhecimento da multiparentalidade, entendida como a possibilidade de coexistência de mais de um pai ou mãe no registro de nascimento, bem como os resultados que podem de fato ocorrer e as jurisprudências correlatas. Para esta análise, realizou-se a ponderação entre a evolução histórica do conceito de família e esta instituição no ordenamento jurídico brasileiro, a análise do termo socioafetividade e seus princípios, da multiparentalidade e seu reconhecimento, sendo isso tudo sob o prisma do direito sucessório. As considerações iniciais serão sobre o conceito de família na atualidade e suas novas composições, as formas de vínculo entre pais e filhos decorrentes do liame afetivo sob a égide do princípio da dignidade da pessoa humana e afetividade. Desenvolve-se o tema na intenção de esclarecer como o direito sucessório vem abarcando esta nova realidade jurídica brasileira. Por fim, contemplar-se-á uma análise jurisprudencial do posicionamento dos tribunais quanto à casos que envolvem estes institutos, bem como os efeitos de seu reconhecimento. A metodologia que será utilizada no presente trabalho é a dedutiva, sendo utilizado o procedimento monográfico, com natureza qualitativa e técnica de pesquisa bibliográfica.
