This method has significant advantages from a technical and economic point of view, including increased stability of the structure, reduced horizontal foundation displacements, minimization of differential settlements, and minimization of time and materials required for construction. An appropriate project should analyze multiple failure mechanisms and ultimate limit states, taking into account the service conditions of the project and the interaction of the individual reinforcement forces. The last factor must be taken into consideration when determining the maximum degree of deformation that occurs in the reinforcement, as well as to avoid inaccurate evaluations of the embankment stability. In order to explore these aspects, as well as to indicate general recommendations for project design and specification of properties that are relevant to geosynthetic reinforcement, this work aimed to conduct a literature review of geogrid reinforcement and its interaction with the soil, combined with a case study based on a site report of an embankment lifting project on soft soils at a Sewage Pumping Station where geogrid was used.14ptAtribuição-NãoComercial-SemDerivados 3.0 Brasilgeogrelhasolos molesestabilidadereforço geossintéticorecalques diferenciaisReforço em GeogrelhaReinforcement in GeodridMonografia
