These aesthetic treatments are a preventive factor for possible complications and promote a more satisfactory aesthetic result for those who seek them. Objective: This research aimed to evaluate the practice of aesthetic treatments used after plastic surgery in women from Tubarão - SC. Methods: Cross-sectional, exploratory and quantitative research. 25 women from Tubarão, Santa Catarina, were sampled for convenience. As a data collection instrument, a structured questionnaire was used to collect information about the treatments used in the postoperative period of plastic surgery. Conclusion: It was found that most women were not subjected to aesthetic treatment to aid healing. Those who underwent treatment used manual lymphatic drainage, ultrasound and massage. Some participants presented post-surgical complications, such as edema, fibrosis, hematoma, ecchymosis, infection and scar dehiscence, however, not all women sought aesthetic treatment to aid healing.INTRODUÇÃO: As cirurgias plásticas direcionadas a aperfeiçoar a forma e a aparência das diversas partes do corpo tanto corporais, quanto faciais são influenciadas pelos tratamentos utilizados no pós operatório. Estes tratamentos estéticos são um fator preventivo de possíveis complicações e promovem um resultado estético mais satisfatório a quem os procura. OBJETIVO: Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo geral avaliar a prática de tratamentos estéticos utilizados após cirurgias plásticas em mulheres de Tubarão – SC. MÉTODOS: Pesquisa de abordagem transversal, exploratória e quantitativa. Foram amostradas 25 mulheres de Tubarão, Santa Catarina, por conveniência. Como instrumentos para coleta de dados utilizou-se um questionário estruturado para coletar informações referentes aos tratamentos utilizados no pós operatório das cirurgias plásticas. CONCLUSÃO: Verificou-se que a maioria das mulheres não realizaram tratamento estético para auxiliar na cicatrização. Aquelas que realizaram o tratamento, utilizaram a drenagem linfática manual, ultrassom e massagem.
