O objetivo desse trabalho é fornece uma revisão narrativa da literatura, e discutir como é realizada a identificação humana por meio das marcas de mordida. A realização deste trabalho teve como metodologia uma revisão bibliográfica mediante a pesquisa de artigos científicos nas seguintes bases de dados: Medline/PubMed, e Google Acadêmico. Conclui-se que as marcas de mordida possuem características individualizadas, que podem ser aplicadas na identificação do agressor que as produziu, partindo da premissa de que a dentição humana é única para cada pessoa.Forensic Dentistry is a branch that has grown considerably and acquired an increasing relevance within the judicial system of forensic processes, human identification is a scientifically proven and validated practice, however the analysis through bite marks is still a method that presents a high degree of complexity and subjectivity. The objective of this work is to provide a narrative review of the literature, and to discuss how human identification is performed through bite marks. The accomplishment of this work had as methodology a bibliographic review through the search of scientific articles in the following databases: Medline/PubMed, and Google Scholar.
