Ao contextualizar os estudos toxicológicos, epidemiológicos e revisões narrativas, são identificados resultados que apontam para efeitos adversos, como alterações bioquímicas e histopatológicas. Notavelmente, estudos epidemiológicos sugerem possíveis associações com malformações congênitas, enquanto uma revisão sistemática destaca as persistentes controvérsias científicas. A complexidade das conclusões é acentuada pela heterogeneidade metodológica presente nos estudos, ressaltando a imperatividade de abordagens multidisciplinares. Este trabalho destaca a ausência de uma resposta definitiva e enfatiza a importância de regulamentações responsáveis e diálogo transparente. Este estudo reforça a urgência de pesquisas contínuas para uma compreensão mais completa dos riscos associados ao glifosato. Destaca-se a necessidade de união de esforços entre cientistas, legisladores e a sociedade para enfrentar os desafios complexos na interseção entre agricultura e saúde humana.This work performs a comprehensive review of the impacts of glyphosate on human health, moving away from the initial analysis approach. By contextualizing toxicological and epidemiological studies and narrative reviews, results are identified that point to adverse effects, such as biochemical changes and liver histopathology. Notably, epidemiological studies suggest possible associations with congenital malformations, while a systematic review highlights persistent scientific controversies. The complexity of the conclusions is accentuated by the methodological heterogeneity present in the studies, highlighting the imperative of multidisciplinary approaches. The conclusion of the work highlights the absence of a definitive answer and emphasizes the importance of responsible regulations and transparent dialogue. This study reinforces the urgency of continued research to more fully understand the risks associated with glyphosate.
