For this, I will analyze the comics as a system, through its origin and its characteristics. For the analysis of the research object, I will use the pathos of distance concepts and empathy elaborated respectively by Friedrich Nietzsche and Edith Stein using an explanatory and bibliographical research methodology. I hope to conclude the work with the understanding of the fascination caused by the figure of the serial killer who did not live according to any moral prison and understand why we feel empathy with the character in the course of reading the comic.Meu objetivo com este trabalho é analisar como a história em quadrinhos “Meu Amigo Dahmer”, de Derf Backderff, constrói a empatia com o personagem Jeffrey Dahmer através das patologias por ele apresentadas. Para tal, abordarei os quadrinhos como um sistema, através de sua origem e de suas características. Para a análise do objeto de pesquisa, utilizarei os conceitos de pathos da distância e empatia elaborados respectivamente por Friedrich Nietzsche e Edith Stein. A metodologia de pesquisa é exploratória e bibliográfica.
