A investigação envolve analisar a relação entre memória, identidade social e cultura local em duas turmas de 1° e 2° ano do ensino Médio Inovador. O estudo foi realizado por meio de fontes bibliográficas, documentais e aplicação de questionários com educandos e educadores, além do levantamento do patrimônio cultural de Imbituba. O estudo mostra que o diálogo entre a sociedade e o patrimônio cultural garante a preservação de princípios culturais formadores da identidade social de um povo, articulando-o como agente transformador da sociedade, e responsável pela formação cidadã.This research refers to the study performed with teachers and students of Innovative High School (EMI [Ensino Medio Inovador], in brazilian portuguese) from the Escola de Ensino Medio Engenheiro Annes Gualberto, located in Imbituba, estate of Santa Catarina. The research involves analyzing the relationship between memory, social indentity and local culture in two groups of 1¡Æ and 2¨¬ year of inn vative High School. The study analyzed the relation between memory, social identity, and local culture through bibliographic and documentary sources with an application of questionnaire involving teachers and students, besides the gathering of Imbituba.s cultural patrimony.
