It was supervised by veterinarian MV. Luma Garcia and oriented by professor Joares Adenilson May Júnior. During the internship, 73 consultations were followed up, 28 medical returns/reviews, 26 surgeries, 75 imaging exams and 73 immunizations, 17 physical therapies and 51 hospitalizations. Three cases were monitored in the clinical and surgical routine and reported in this study: Endoscopic removal of gastric foreign body, snakebite accident by Bothrops snake and rupture of the external jugular by bite. The mandatory curricular internship allows the academic to actively participate in the medical and surgical routine, to work as a team, adds knowledge and practice. It is a period of great importance to the student because it gives the opportunity to explore the different areas and possibilities, bringing a broader vision and greater self-security to work in the future.O estágio curricular obrigatório foi realizado no Hospital Veterinário Jurerê, Florianópolis/SC, na área de clínica, reabilitação e cirurgia de pequenos animais, no período de 3 de agosto a 29 de setembro de 2020, equivalendo a 360 horas, distribuídas em 40 horas semanais. O mesmo teve supervisão da médica veterinária Luma Garcia e orientação do professor Joares Adenilson May Júnior. No decorrer do estágio foram acompanhados 73 consultas, 28 retornos/revisões, 26 cirurgias, 75 exames de imagem, 73 imunizações, 17 fisioterapias e 51 internações. Foram selecionados três casos acompanhados na rotina clínica e cirúrgica e relatados nesse trabalho: Retirada endoscópica de corpo estranho gástrico, acidente ofídico por serpente do gênero Bothrops sp. e ruptura de jugular externa por mordedura. O estágio curricular obrigatório proporciona ao acadêmico, participar de forma ativa nas atividades da rotina médica e cirúrgica, trabalho em equipe e agrega conhecimento e prática.
