The option of choosing three very distinct theories is because of the will to extract contributions from each to assist in formulating a more complete understanding about the issue of the Reform, taking into account that there are no such things as "correct" or "incorrect" theories, and the best way to make use of them would be in a pooled analysis. After contextualizing the thematic of international organizations in the study field of International Relations, as well as conducting a historical background of the Security Council and the reasons that lead to a demand for reform, we move forward to the analysis of the theories doing a survey on what they theorize regarding issues such as power, world powers and international organizations. Once possessing all the elements from this analysis, these will be used in order to understand how each theoretical approach can contribute to the deepening of the debate on the Security Council and its shortcomings, demonstrating that when making use of them together it is possible to obtain a broader view about issues involving complex social variables, as is the case with most of the topics related to the study of International Relations.Este trabalho trata da questão da Reforma do Conselho de Segurança das Nações Unidas a partir de três aportes teóricos diferentes da área de Relações Internacionais: o Neorrealismo, o Institucionalismo e a Teoria Crítica. A escolha de três teorias bastante distintas se dá pela aposta na extração de contribuições a partir de cada uma para auxiliar na formulação de um entendimento mais completo a respeito da questão da Reforma, entendendo que não existem teorias "certas" ou "erradas" e que a melhor maneira de utilizá-las seria em uma análise em conjunto. Após realizada a ambientação com a temática das organizações internacionais nos estudos de Relações Internacionais, bem como um histórico do Conselho de Segurança e dos motivos que levam a uma demanda por reforma, passa-se à análise das teorias realizando um levantamento sobre o que elas dizem a respeito de temáticas como poder, potências e organizações internacionais. Uma vez possuindo todos os elementos provenientes desta análise, estes serão utilizados de forma a compreender o que cada vertente teórica tem a contribuir para o aprofundamento do debate acerca do Conselho de Segurança e suas deficiências, demonstrando que quando utilizadas em conjunto faz-se possível adquirir uma visão mais ampla a respeito de temáticas envolvendo variáveis sociais complexas, como é o caso da maioria dos tópicos relacionados aos estudos de Relações Internacionais.64 f.pt-BRConselho de segurançaReformaNeorrealismoInstitucionalismoTeoria críticaMonografia
