Inicialmente, contextualiza-se o tema a partir do momento da criação do sistema de gerenciamento de partidas e chegadas em aeroportos congestionados pela IATA, os chamados slots e apresentação de suas características. Em seguida, aborda-se a o início da aplicação do sistema no Brasil, a legislação e suas constantes atualizações, a concorrência existente entre as empresas de transporte aéreo regular e as aeronaves da aviação geral. Por fim, contextualiza-se especificamente sobre o Aeroporto de Congonhas e sua distribuição dos slots para as companhias e aeronaves que ali operam.The present paperwork aims to explain the functioning of the slot management system in the world and to analyze the situation of regulation in the Brazilian civil aviation sector, focusing on the problem of slot allocation and competitio n. Initially, the theme is contextualized from the moment of the creation of the management system of departures and arrivals in congested airports by IATA, the socalled slots and presentation of their characteristics. Then, the beginning of the applicati on of the system in Brazil, the legislation and its constant updates, the existing competition between scheduled air transport companies and general aviation aircraft are discussed.
