The presence of two prepositions in the question suggests that the dissertation consists, at the same time, of an analysis of the texts in which Flusser’s philosophical fiction manifests itself and of a quest for the concept, the motivations e reasons for the fiction in his work as a whole. Fable, science fiction, fantastic tales – these are many names for the same phenomenon. Flusser was not the first nor the last philosopher to use stories to express philosophical thinking, but certainly his philosophical fiction is emblematic and should be studied, because it is the natural extension of a propositive and essayistic philosophy in which imaginative force and rhetoric prevail. Flusser blurs the limits between philosophy and literature, questioning the boundaries of the academia and scientific knowledge, and advocates the equality of rights of artistical and philosophical knowledge.A dissertação tem como objeto a ficção filosófica de Vilém Flusser, pensador que viveu mais de 30 anos no Brasil, a partir da pergunta-problema “o que é a ficção filosófica em/para Flusser?”. A presença de duas preposições na questão busca sugerir que a dissertação consiste ao mesmo tempo em uma análise comentadora de textos em que se materializa a ficção filosófica de Flusser e em uma busca pelo conceito, pelas motivações e justificativas da ficção na sua obra como um todo. Fábula, science fiction, contos fantásticos – os significantes são vários para designar um mesmo fenômeno. Flusser não foi o primeiro nem o último a lançar mão de histórias para expressar um pensamento filosófico, mas certamente sua ficção filosófica é emblemática e deve ser estudada pois é extensão natural de uma obra propositiva e ensaística em que predominam a força imaginativa e a retórica.
