Based on this Law, the Ministry of Labor issues the Regulatory Norms - NRs, which will deal with occupational safety and medicine through Ordinance 3,214 of June 8, 1978. These guidelines, in turn, have the objective of promoting and guaranteeing decent working conditions, preventing the occurrence of diseases and accidents related to the work environment. Through the comparative method, the present study aims to analyze and compare NR 01 both for the aspects that support its current current wording (2019) and for the proposals presented in the normative update approved and published in March 2020. It seeks to understand the structured elements in their topics, in order to analyze the possible benefits linked to this updateA legislação que dita as diretrizes de Saúde e Segurança no Trabalho – SST é regida pela Consolidação das Leis do Trabalho – CLT (alterada pela Lei n.º 6.514 de 22 de dezembro de 1977) e um direito fundamental, assegurado aos trabalhadores, previsto pela Constituição Federal de 1988. A partir dessa Lei, o Ministério do Trabalho realiza a edição das Normas Regulamentadoras – NRs, que vai tratar da segurança e medicina do trabalho através da Portaria 3.214 de 8 junho de 1978. Essas diretrizes, por sua vez, possuem o objetivo de promover e garantir condições dignas de trabalho, prevenindo a ocorrência de doenças e acidentes relacionados ao ambiente laboral. Por meio do método comparativo, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar e comparar a NR 01 tanto pelos aspectos que fundamentam sua atual redação vigente (2019) quanto pelas proposições apresentadas na atualização normativa aprovada e publicada em março de 2020.
