A metodologia utilizada e a de pesquisa bibliográfica, que consistiu na exposição do pensamento de vários autores que escreveram sobre o tema escolhido. Ela está dividida didaticamente em três capítulos. Inicialmente, fora feito um desenvolvimento histórico sobre o abuso de poder, elucidando as diferenças da nova lei de abuso de autoridade em relação a antiga e destacando a importância desta para o estado de direito. No segundo capítulo nos dedicamos a analisar os impactos causados com lei em relação aos preceitos garantidos aos indivíduos elencados na constituição federal pátria. Por fim, o terceiro e último capítulo aborda a atividade dos policiais e as inovações que a nova lei de abuso trouxe para a atividade da políciaThis monograph aims to understand the importance of the law on abuse of authority with an emphasis on the impacts it generates in relation to the violation of the principle of human dignity with a focus on the actions of police officers. The methodology used was bibliographical research, which consisted of exposing the thoughts of several authors who wrote about the chosen topic. It is didactically divided into three chapters. Initially, a historical development was made on abuse of power, elucidating the differences between the new law on abuse of authority in relation to the old one and highlighting its importance for the rule of law. In the second chapter we dedicate ourselves to analyzing the impacts caused by law in relation to the precepts guaranteed to individuals listed in the country's federal constitution.
