Métodos: Os trabalhos foram selecionados através de um levantamento bibliográfico virtual de artigos científicos publicados em revistas digitais entre os anos de 2013 e 2023, nas bases de dados PubMed, PEDro, SciELo e BVS. Por meio dos seguintes critérios de inclusão: artigos escritos em língua inglesa e portuguesa; assim como, responder à questão de pesquisa: “Qual o impacto de diferentes técnicas da fisioterapia na capacidade funcional de pacientes pós-bariátrica?”, os estudos também deveriam abordar pesquisas sobre: pacientes adultos (com mais de 18 anos) de ambos os sexos, que já tenham realizado cirurgia bariátrica. Resultados: A amostra total do estudo foi de 379 pacientes que realizaram cirurgia bariátrica e que após isso, participaram de algum tipo de intervenção da fisioterapia com o desfecho de capacidade funcional. Conclusão: Foi observado que todos os estudos abordados, com diferentes técnicas e intervenções, trouxeram melhoras e efeitos positivos na capacidade funcional e em diversos outros fatores.Objective: To review the integration of evidence in the literature regarding the impact of different physiotherapy approaches on the functional capacity of patients after bariatric surgery. Methods: The papers were selected through a virtual bibliographic survey of scientific articles published in digital journals between 2013 and 2023, in the PubMed, PEDro, SciELo and BVS databases. Through the following inclusion criteria: articles written in English and Portuguese; as well as answering the research question: “What is the impact of different physiotherapy techniques on the functional capacity of post-bariatric patients?”, studies should also address research on: adult patients (over 18 years old) of both sexes, who have already undergone bariatric surgery. Results: The total study sample was 379 patients who underwent bariatric surgery and who subsequently participated in some type of physiotherapy intervention with the outcome of functional capacity.
