Considerando relacionamentos heterossexuais compostos por homens e mulheres cisgêneros, este trabalho propõe analisar o sofrimento psíquico em mulheres que vivenciam esse tipo de relação e investigar, fazendo um recorte racial, quem é o maior alvo desse tipo de violência e consequentemente quem sofre mais efeitos psicológicos por conta disso: a mulher branca ou a negra. Dessa forma, pretende-se observar se o racismo também está presente nesse contexto. Para isso, conta-se com uma pesquisa bibliográfica, coletando dados por meio da plataforma Scielo e pela biblioteca virtual Pearson. Assim, livros e artigos foram selecionados para serem analisados e discutidos neste trabalho, apoiando-se na psicologia social. Entender o sofrimento das mulheres que vivenciam relações afetivas destrutivas é necessário para, não só compreender mais sobre esse fenômeno sociológico, como também auxiliar essas mulheres a desenvolverem seu autoconhecimento e trabalharem seu empoderamento. Para a psicologia social, realizar um recorte racial das vítimas em relações afetivas destrutivas pode contribuir na investigação dos fatores conflitantes e auxiliar na luta antirracista nacional.Violence is a way of violating human rights and one of its ramifications is domestic violence, which is present in abusive relationships. This study proposes to analyze the psychological suffering of women who experience abusive relationships, with an emphasis on the racial portrait of the victims. The objective is to investigate who is the main target of this type of violence and who suffers more psychological impacts: white women or black women, considering heterosexual relationships composed of cisgender men and women. The aim is also to observe the influence of racism in this context. The research was conducted through a literature review, using platforms such as Scielo and Pearson Virtual Library to collect relevant data. The analysis and discussion of the selected books and articles were based on social psychology. Understanding the suffering of these women is important not only to understand this type of violence and its sociological characteristics but also to help them develop their self-knowledge and empowerment.
