Startups challenge the status quo and change the way we live. The purpose of this study is to review in the literature the main information about venture builders, as a startup development model. The research seeks to identify in the literature the concept of venture builder, to present its differences between accelerators and incubators, as well as to identify the structuring models. Because it is a new and not yet well-known model in Brazil, the clear and objective understanding of venture builders is fundamental for initiatives such as these to be discussed, studied and created with the objective of contributing, in an even more efficient way, for the growth and improvement of the country's innovation ecosystem. Among the models of startup creation are the well-known incubators and accelerators, which, even with all the investments and efforts, still have very low success rates. Unlike other models, venture builders can act as startups founders since the creation of the idea, with the possibility of appointing a CEO partner with the purpose of emancipating the business, or they can also act as co-founders of startups already created in initial phase where they work not only under financial management and mentoring, but also under the most diverse operational aspects.Cada vez mais nos surpreendemos com as constantes mudanças e avanços tecnológicos criadas por empresas jovens, porém revolucionárias. As startups desafiam o status quo e mudam a forma como vivemos. O objetivo desse estudo é revisar na literatura as principais informações a respeito das venture builders, como um modelo de desenvolvimento de startups. A pesquisa busca identificar na literatura o conceito de venture builder, apresentar suas diferenças entre aceleradoras e incubadoras, bem como identificar os modelos de estruturação. Por se tratar de um modelo novo e ainda não muito conhecido e aplicado no Brasil, a compreensão clara e objetiva das venture builders é fundamental para que iniciativas como essas sejam discutidas, estudadas e criadas com o objetivo de contribuir, de forma ainda mais eficiente, para o crescimento e aprimoramento do ecossistema de inovação do país. Dentre os modelos de criação de startups figuram as conhecidas incubadoras e aceleradoras, que mesmo com todos os investimentos e esforços, ainda apresentam índices de sucesso muito baixos.
