O bairro está inserido em região de formação a partir da expansão de Belo Horizonte para além da Avenida Contorno – limite de planejamento no projeto original do município – representado pela variedade nas opções de lazer e turismo, demonstrando em sua composição, cartões postais reconhecidos mundialmente. A concepção arquitetônica do espaço se faz capaz de incentivar a pluralidade dos usos, valorizar a memória urbana local, além de integrar paisagem e arquitetura por meio de ambientes ergonômicos e convidativos. Gerando-se portanto, um equipamento cultural no estilo modernista que oferece ambientes capazes de abrigar as diversas manifestações do campo das Artes Contemporâneas, sendo voltado para população de Belo Horizonte e demais grupos turísticos interessados no consumo da cultura local por meio da diversidade artística a ser oferecida, sem restrição de faixa etária, econômica ou social.The object developed in constant study is a Contemporary Art Cultural Center, to be implemented in the São Luiz neighborhood, located in the Pampulha region, north of the capital of Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte. The neighborhood is situated in an area formed by the expansion of Belo Horizonte beyond Avenida Contorno – the planning limit in the original municipal project – represented by the variety of leisure and tourism options, showcasing internationally recognized postcards in its composition. The architectural conception of the space is capable of encouraging a variety of uses, valuing local urban memory, and integrating landscape and architecture through ergonomic and inviting environments.
