The methodological instruments adopted were documentary and bibliographic research, and as for their objectives they are classified as descriptive. Using scientific articles, books, documents issued by ANAC and others. The main results were that more than fifty percent of the twenty main Brazilian airports stand out in a critical situation because many of them have operated above their maximum capacity, mainly with regard to TPS. In general, airports have become the main bottleneck for the growth and development of civil aviation in Brazil. Thus, studies show that if there are no efficient and effective measures, the civil aviation sector in the country is on the verge of its collapse. Therefore, in addition to the management exercised by INFRAERO, which is a Brazilian state-owned company, there is a number of models that were directed throughout this research and that can be formulated so that they are verified in order to find which of them is the most adequate to meet the increasing demand. It was concluded that if greater efforts and investments aren’t made to adapt airport infrastructure to current and future needs, the collapse of civil aviation in Brazil will be inevitable. Management ModelsRESUMO O presente estudo de análise qualitativa teve por objetivo geral apresentar as principais necessidades relacionadas à infraestrutura para o modal aéreo brasileiro. Os instrumentos metodológicos adotados foram pesquisa de tipo documental e bibliográfico e quanto aos seus objetivos, classifica-se como descritiva. Deste modo, foram utilizados artigos científicos, livros, documentos emitidos pela ANAC, entre outros. Os principais resultados mostraram que mais de cinquenta por cento dentre os vinte principais aeroportos brasileiros se encontram em situação crítica, muitos deles têm operado acima da sua capacidade máxima, principalmente no que tange ao TPS. De modo geral, os aeroportos se tornaram o principal gargalo para o crescimento e desenvolvimento da aviação civil no Brasil. Assim, os estudos mostram que se não forem tomadas medidas eficientes e eficazes, o setor de aviação civil no país estará à beira de seu colapso. Por isto, além da gestão exercida pela INFRAERO, que é uma estatal brasileira, existe uma série de modelos que foram apresentados ao longo desta pesquisa e que podem ser avaliados para que seja verificado qual ou quais deles se mostra mais adequado para suprir a demanda que é cada vez mais excedente. Por fim, concluiu-se que se não forem empregados maiores esforços e investimentos para adequar a infraestrutura aeroportuária às necessidades atuais e futuras, o colapso da aviação civil no Brasil será inevitável.
