Para isso acontecer, analisou-se inicialmente a cronologia da Proteção Internacional dos Direitos Humanos, seus principais instrumentos e organismos de onitoramento. Posteriormente, foi realizada uma apresentação dos Sistemas Regionais de Proteção aos Direitos Humanos existentes, com ênfase no sistema americano, o qual foi profundamente caracterizado. Por fim, foi analisado como o Brasil posiciona-se dentro deste sistema. A posição brasileira dentro do Sistema Interamericano é de grande relevância, entretanto o Estado ainda peca por não aderir de forma eficaz todas as normas do sistemaIn this research, the Brazilian position was studied within the Inter-American Regional Protection of Human Rights. For this to happen, was initially examined the chronology of the International Protection of Human Rights, its main instruments and monitoring organs. After that, all the existing Regional Protection Systems human rights were exhibit, with an emphasis on the American system, which was deeply characterized. At the end, was analyzed how Brazil is positioned within this system.
