Diante disso, a Harmonização Orofacial surgiu como especialidade odontológica desde 2018, e é um dos ramos mais procurados, pois cada dia mais as pessoas se importam mais com a estética e a perfeição dos seus rostos e dentes. O objetivo geral desta pesquisa foi apresentar uma revisão da literatura, dos últimos dez anos, sobre harmonização orofacial, dando ênfase não somente da estética da face, como também na estética dentária, que compõe um todo. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, qualitativa, com artigos nos idiomas português e inglês. Os artigos elegidos foram publicados entre os anos de 2014 a 2024 e foram retiradas das bases de dados online, SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online); Google Academic e Pubmed (US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health). O estudo revela que a busca por um sorriso perfeito tem ido muito além da estética facial, alcançado pontos relacionados com a autoestima e qualidade de vida das pessoas, conforme revelado nos achados apresentados neste trabalho.In recent years, the search for ideal aesthetic standards has been increasingly intensified, thus contributing to the advent of new techniques and procedures that meet patients' demands. Therefore, Orofacial Harmonization has emerged as a dental specialty since 2018, and is one of the most sought after areas, as everyday people care more about the aesthetics and perfection of their faces and teeth. The general objective of this research was to present a review of the literature, from the last ten years, on orofacial harmonization, emphasizing not only facial aesthetics, but also dental aesthetics, which make up a whole. This is a qualitative, bibliographical research, with articles in Portuguese and English.
