Porém, a cobertura midiática sobre o tema cicloativismo é escassa. Diante disso, o artigo tem como função analisar a cobertura da mídia sobre o movimento e discutir os possíveis impactos das informações transmitidas. Em São Paulo, a mobilidade urbana é bem ampla, os ativistas que fazem parte desta categoria possuem algumas necessidades que devem ser atendidas pelo poder público, como por exemplo na melhoria dos espaços frequentados pelos ciclistas, como sinalização, implementação de novas faixas e também melhorias nas políticas públicas para atender o grupo. A função do jornalismo é de alcançar outras massas, abrir diálogo, pautando a causa, ter a possibilidade de chegar em lugares que antes não havia chegado.The Cycling activism is a movement that seeks to validate the use of bicycles as a means of transport and to pressure public authorities to invest in cycling infrastructure. However, media coverage on the subject of cycle activism is scarce. Given this, the article aims to analyze the media coverage of the movement and discuss the possible impacts of the transmitted information. In São Paulo, urban mobility is very wide, the activists who are part of this category have some needs that must be met by the public authorities, in the improvement of spaces frequented by cyclists, such as signage, implementation of new lanes and also improvements in public policies to serve the group.
