This issue is important because misuse of information may compromise the aeronautical accident and incident prevention , resulting in flight safety flaws. Understanding criminal investigation and preventive investigation is the crucial point for reports to be cultivated and motivated. The applied methodology was qualitative, being analyzed the data and information available in the electronic portal of CENIPA and based on the Aeronautical Crimes book, by Marcelo Honorato. The research was characterized as exploratory with bibliographic and documentary procedure. At the end of this research, it was concluded that the lack of correct treatment of accident prevention information and the lack of knowledge and understanding on this subject for the aviation sector may result in accelerated exhaustion of voluntary participation, reports related to and the reduction of sources that contribute to the effectiveness of research, thereby compromising flight safety.Esta monografia tem como objetivo conhecer e entender o impacto causado na segurança de voo pelo uso dos relatórios de prevenção nas investigações criminais. Este tema é importante, pois o uso indevido de informações pode comprometer a prevenção de acidentes e incidentes aeronáuticos, resultando em falhas na segurança de voo. Entender a investigação criminal e a investigação preventiva é o ponto crucial para que os reportes sejam cultivados e motivados. A metodologia aplicada foi qualitativa, sendo analisados os dados e informações disponíveis no portal eletrônico do CENIPA e tendo como base o livro Crimes Aeronáuticos, de Marcelo Honorato. A pesquisa caracterizou-se como exploratória com procedimento bibliográfico e documental.
