The study was based on a bibliographic research and also brings the aspects of culture in time, and the importance of the family participation on the elderly well-being in this new phase of life, identifying the importance of the legal changes, the state, the society and the family’s obligations. The study highlights the importance of the fraternal and affectional look to this group; thinking about their discrimination and marginalization in society, besides the reflects of ageism to the range of the basic rights of aging people.O presente trabalho tem como objetivo geral a análise dos impactos sociais do abandono afetivo inverso no envelhecimento digno, ativo e saudável, bem como seus reflexos na aplicabilidade das normas jurídicas no suprimento das dificuldades encontradas pela pessoa idosa no atual meio cultural no qual se insere. O estudo foi realizado através de pesquisas bibliográficas e também traz os aspectos da cultura no tempo e na percepção da importância da participação da família no bem estar do idoso nessa nova fase da vida, identificando a importância das mudanças legais e do cumprimento dos deveres do Estado, da sociedade e da família.
