Obtaining, therefore, that the New York Times presents an impartial coverage, investigating and exposing the origins of the perpetrators of the attack as a reason for their act, which helps to reinforce stereotypes about the Islamic religion and Middle Eastern countries. Therefore, that "terrorism" is a counterpoint to the concept of the American world Order, but it is also part of the U.S. discourse to justify its actions in order to ensure the supremacy of its concept of command in the world, with the Times contributing to spread that speech.O presente estudo buscou analisar as reportagens do jornal estadunidense The New York Times durante sua cobertura ao atentado a maratona de Boston, ocorrido em 15 de abril de 2013, e relacioná-la aos estudos de conflitos internacionais, através de uma pesquisa explicativa. Obtendo-se, portanto, que o The New York Times apresenta uma cobertura parcial, investigando e expondo as origens dos autores do ataque como razão para seu feito, o que ajuda a reforçar estereótipos acerca da religião Islâmica e de países do Oriente Médio.
