This integrative review aimed to analyze the main findings of resveratrol research concerning cosmetic application. It was performed in February 2018 using the PubMed, Medline and Science databases with the key words "Resveratrol" and "Cosmetics", having found 110 articles. We analyzed 18 articles where the benefits found showed antioxidant properties, noncompetitive inhibition of tyrosinase and protective action against ultraviolet radiation. The knowledge of the properties of resveratrol extends the understanding about the resources for the prevention and treatment of photoaging.Cosméticos muitas vezes são empregados em busca de se preservar a aparência mais jovial e uniforme da pele. Esta revisão integrativa objetivou analisar os principais achados das pesquisas sobre o resveratrol referentes à aplicação cosmética. Foi realizada em fevereiro de 2018 usando as bases de dados PubMed, Medline e Science com as palavras chaves “Resveratrol” and “Cosmetics”, tendo sido encontrados 110 artigos. Foram analisados 18 artigos onde os benefícios encontrados apontam propriedades antioxidantes, inibição não competitiva da tirosinase e ação protetora contra a radiação ultravioleta.
