O estudo demonstra a importância da notificação ao conselho tutelar, que por muitas vezes é deixada de lado pelo profissional por imprecisão de diagnóstico e principalmente, receio de envolvimento jurídico e, por fim, observa a importância da interação com a área da psicologia, buscando auxílio na quebra de barreiras na comunicação, confiança, percepção comportamental da vítima e de seus responsáveis, criando um protocolo de atendimento essencial na luta contra a violência infantil.The goal of this study was to identify the main physical, psychological and social characteristics of child abuse that can be observed by the dental surgeon in a multidisciplinary way. Based on the encouragement and preparation of the health professional to go beyond the clinical diagnosis of lesions, but also to observe behavioral signs identified in communication with the patient. The study proves the importance of notice the guardianship council, which is often left aside by the professional due to inaccuracy of diagnosis and especially, fear of legal involvement. And finally, he observes the importance of interaction with the area of psychology, seeking help in breaking barriers in communication, trust, behavioral perception of the victim and his guardians.
