Thus, in 2011 the Rede Cegonha was created, aiming to reduce maternal and child death. This network is composed of 04 components: Prenatal; Childbirth and birth; Puerperium and comprehensive child health care, and; Logistic system. Method: A survey was carried out in the databases SCIELO, LILACS, BDENF, BVS, PUBMED and SCHOOLAR GOOGLE in the period of October 2020, using the descriptors "Postpartum period", "maternal and child health services" and "nursing", observing publications in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Seven articles were selected, whose organized data could be analyzed. Results: Categories are presented: The importance of prenatal care for a better postpartum experience; Welcoming and resolutive assistance in joint accommodation and obstetric center by nursing and multiprofessional teams; and the relevance of the nurse's view to the postpartum psychoemotional state. Conclusion: The importance of guidance in the immediate puerperium was evidenced, such as the changes experienced by women and care for the newborn, which are the responsibility of the multidisciplinary teams, but also of great importance in the nursing team.Introdução: As boas práticas chegaram ao âmbito da obstetrícia com o objetivo de garantir a segurança da mulher e do recém-nascido em todo o seu ciclo gravídico-puerperal. Desse modo, em 2011 foi constituída a Rede Cegonha, visando diminuir a morte materna-infantil. Essa rede é composta por 04 componentes: Pré-natal; Parto e nascimento; Puerpério e atenção integral à saúde da criança, e; Sistema logístico. Método: Realizou-se um levantamento nas bases de dados SCIELO, LILACS, BDENF, BVS e SCHOOLAR GOOGLE no período de outubro de 2020, através dos descritores “Período pós-parto”, “serviços de saúde materno-infantil” e “enfermagem”, observando-se publicações em português, inglês e espanhol. Selecionaram-se 7 artigos, cujos dados organizados puderam ser analisados. Resultados: Apresenta-se categorias de: A importância do pré-natal para melhor experiência no puerpério; Assistência acolhedora e resolutiva no alojamento conjunto e centro obstétrico por equipes de enfermagem e multiprofissional; e a relevância do olhar do enfermeiro para o estado psicoemocional da puérpera.
