This research aims to analyze the importance of the interpersonal relationship between captain and co-pilot for operational safety in aviation. The present research uses the method of a bibliographic and documentary review. As a result, it presents the interpersonal relationship as fundamental for the prevention of accidents and incidents in aviation, as well as for the construction of strategies to deal with operational emergency situations.Fatores humanos são os maiores contribuintes para a ocorrência de eventos de segurança operacional.
