Serão observadas doutrinadas favoráveis e desfavoráveis à possibilidade elencada acima, explicando detalhadamente os entendimentos de cada doutrinador. O interesse pelo tema em questão surgiu diante da dissonância doutrinária existente quanto ao tema, pela inexistência de um entendimento pacífico e também pela escassez de jurisprencias. Quanto aos métodos utilizados, no que tange à abordagem foi qualitativa, quanto ao nível de profundidade, exploratória e, por fim, quanto ao procedimento, utilizaram-se os métodos bibliográficos e documentais. A partir da analise das informações e doutrinas apresentadas, considera-se que será possível ter uma melhor compreensão sobre o instituto da legítima defesa, dos direitos transindividuais e da possibilidade ou não de aplicação da legítima defesa em face do meio ambiente.The present monographic work aims to analyze the aspects of the “Self Defense”, and the possibility of the application of this institute in a situation where the offended is a transindividual property, in this case more specifically the environment. In this work, studies favorable and unfavorable will be looked at, explaining with details the way that each bookman thinks. The interest for this topic started with the existing dissonance regarding the topic and also because of the lack of firm understanding and the lack of jurisprudence. As for the methods used, in terms of the approach was qualitative, as far as depth, exploratory level and, finally, regarding the procedure, the bibliographic and documentary methods were used.
