Uma análise precisa das causas por trás das discrepâncias, tanto positivas quanto negativas, contribui para a melhoria contínua das operações da empresa responsável pelos projetos, pois permite uma avaliação dos erros e acertos durante a fase de estimativa e, durante a execução, viabiliza o entendimento das razões por trás dessas disparidades. Consequentemente, o histórico resultante da análise das disparidades entre o orçamento e os custos reais proporcionou à construtora uma compreensão das principais distorções positivas e distorções negativas no empreendimento estudado. Os resultados desta pesquisa apontam que ao final foi identificado uma divergência negativa de R$7.490,66, nos custos realizados da obra.The objective of this study was to explore the composition of the budget, the variables, and the factors that influenced the determination of the estimated cost, as well as to analyze the impacts of the disparities between the planned and the actual costs in the construction of a building. A precise analysis of the causes behind the discrepancies, both positive and negative, contributes to the continuous improvement of the operations of the company responsible for the projects, as it allows for an evaluation of the mistakes and successes during the estimation phase and, during execution, enables an understanding of the reasons behind these disparities. Consequently, the historical data resulting from the analysis of the disparities between the budget and the actual costs provided the construction company with an understanding of the main positive and negative distortions in the studied project.
