In order for the main objective to be concluded, secondary objectives were defined, such as the definition of what communication is, the importance of communication processes in the context of flight cabin aviation and, finally, the presentation of the study of a case study that showed the accident of flight 3142 of the company LAPA that led to 65 deaths due to failures in the communication process between crew and the human - machine factor. The methodology was bibliographic and documentary with the use of scientific articles, books and documentaries. At the end of the study, it was highlighted that the management and efficiency of the aviation communication process is essential to reduce the high rates of incidents and air accidents resulting from the human factor, in part these occurrences due to ineffective communication in the air context.O objetivo geral do presente estudo foi apontar a importância da comunicação para a aviação na cabine do voo. Para o cumprimento do objetivo principal foram definidos objetivos secundários como a definição do que é a comunicação, a importância dos processos de comunicação no contexto da aviação de cabine de voo e, por fim, a apresentação de um estudo de caso apresentando o acidente do voo 3142 da empresa LAPA, que ocasionou 65 mortes devido a falhas no processo de comunicação entre tripulantes e o fator humano-máquina. A metodologia foi bibliográfica e documental, com o uso de artigos científicos, livros e documentários.
