O câncer é uma das principais causas de morte em São Paulo e em todo o Brasil, segundo dados do Instituto Nacional do Câncer (INCA), estima-se que em 2023 cerca de 380 mil novos casos de câncer, somente na região sudeste do país, serão diagnosticados. O tratamento do câncer é um desafio para todas as pessoas, mas para aqueles que moram em regiões periféricas, pode ser ainda mais difícil devido a uma série de fatores, como o acesso limitado aos serviços de saúde, transporte insuficiente, falta de recursos financeiros e menor conscientização sobre a importância da prevenção e detecção precoce do câncer. Por esse motivo, foi escolhido o bairro da Vila Prudente para este projeto. Pois a região possui modais de acesso fácil a periferias desde São Mateus até Capão Redondo por conta do metrô da linha verde que faz conexão direta com a linha Prata e com a linha Lilás, além de ser uma ZEU (Zona Eixo de Estruturação da Transformação Urbana) permitindo um incrível potencial construtivo, ao apresentar tudo que é necessário para atender bairros de difícil acesso e com populações mais carentes.This course completion project has the objective and methodology of creating an oncology rehabilitation center in the Vila Prudente neighborhood, focusing on humanistic medicine that treats the patient and not the disease, providing comprehensive care necessary for the individual as a whole, paying attention to its biopsychosocial and spiritual context.
