Embora a gestação ocorra sem intercorrências, infelizmente podem ocorrer alterações no desfecho fisiológico do processo, acarretando a sua interrupção. O cuidado e a humanização pós-morte fetais ainda são um grande desafio enfrentado por muitos profissionais em ambiente hospitalar no país. Este trabalho apresenta como objetivos relatar a contribuição da enfermagem na humanização do cuidado aos pais enlutados por óbito fetal, identificando os desafios enfrentados pelos profissionais na promoção da humanização, proporcionando recomendações para aprimoramento. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura realizada através da BVS, por meio das bases de dados BDENF, LILACS, MEDLINE e SciELO. Com base nos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, foram selecionados 16 artigos, para posterior análise e discussão. Diante disso, verificaram-se os sentimentos negativos dos pais com a assistência, a falta de preparo dos profissionais e a estrutura inadequada dos serviços de saúde, onde foi possível concluir sobre a importância de desenvolver técnicas de comunicação para aprimoramento da humanização, ao respeitar a individualidade e os sentimentos dos pais enlutados, fornecendo acolhimento e privacidade para a criação de memórias do bebê falecido. Ressalta-se a necessidade de se realizar a inclusão e debate do assunto na formação acadêmica e profissional.Pregnancy is a very special and anticipated time for parents and family members. Although gestation may proceed without complications, unfortunately, changes in the physiological outcome of the process may occur, leading to its interruption. Post-mortem fetal care and humanization are still significant challenges faced by many professionals in the hospital setting in the country. This work aims to report the contribution of nursing in humanizing care for grieving parents due to fetal death, identifying the challenges faced by professionals in promoting humanization, and providing recommendations for improvement. It is na integrative literature review conducted through the BVS, using the databases BDENF, LILACS, MEDLINE, and SciELO. Based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, 16 articles were selected for further analysis and discussion. Consequently, negative feelings of parents towards the assistance, lack of preparedness among professionals, and inadequate structure of health services were identified, leading to the conclusion about the importance of developing communication techniques to enhance humanization, while respecting the individuality and feelings of grieving parents, providing support and privacy for the creation of memories of the deceased baby.
