From this paradigm there is an upward search in the last years for the sustainable practices implantation in the buildings. This work, exploratory research, in a case study that aims to evaluate the implementation of a sustainable day care in the Pescaria Brava Municipality, starting from a standard project Pro childhood, applying several sustainable construction techniques in the project. With them are the reduction in water consumption, energy efficiency, the correct disposal of solid waste and the minimum use of land integrating with the natural environment. The implemented systems proved to be very effective in meeting the principles of sustainable construction and at the same time meeting the needs of teachers and students who will be benefited from the Children's Educational Center implementation, making the project proposed in here a source for public management consultation and the academic milieu with regard in the new day care construction in the country.Com o crescimento desordenado da população mundial, a racionalização dos recursos naturais é imprescindível para garantir um desenvolvimento que satisfaz as necessidades presentes, sem comprometer a capacidade das gerações futuras de suprir suas próprias necessidades. A partir desse paradigma há uma procura ascendente nos últimos anos pela implantação de práticas sustentáveis nas edificações. Assim, este trabalho de pesquisa do tipo exploratório, em estudo de caso que tem por objetivo avaliar a implantação de uma creche sustentável no munícipio de Pescaria Brava, partindo de um projeto padrão ProInfância, aplicando diversas técnicas de construção sustentável no projeto. Dentre elas estão, a redução no consumo de água, a eficiência energética, a disposição correta dos resíduos sólidos e a utilização mínima de terreno integrando-se com o ambiente natural.
