It aimed to know the possible effects of auriculotherapy on overweight and obesity. Fifteen patients who received treatment with a nutritionist at the Sorocaba Basic Health Unit in the city of Biguaçu participated in the study. Participants underwent a screening where characteristics such as age, gender, weight, BMI, Degree of Obesity were recorded. After screening, they received eight auriculotherapy sessions. The analysis of the results was performed through tables containing information on health characteristics and initial and final measures to treatment such as weight, hip circumference, abdomen, waist and appetite intensity. The data were inserted in spreadsheet with statistical analysis. For the comparison of means, the paired Student's T test and the paired Wilcoxon test were used and were considered statistically significant when p <0.05. It was concluded in this study that there was a statistically significant reduction in mean body weight, waist circumference, hip and abdomen measurements. The mean difference in weight reduction was 1.9 kg, waist circumference had a mean reduction of 2.6 cm, a hip decrease of 1.9 cm, and an abdomen of 2.5 cm, also the appetite reduced 0.9 points . This research contributed to know the effects of auriculotherapy in the treatment of obesity, however, new studies with a greater number of participants are necessary.O presente trabalho consiste em um projeto de pesquisa o qual desenvolveu um estudo clinico piloto. Teve como objetivo conhecer os possíveis efeitos da auriculoterapia no sobrepeso e obesidade. Participaram do estudo 15 pacientes que fizeram tratamento com nutricionista na Unidade Básica de Saúde Sorocaba do município de Biguaçu. Os participantes passaram por uma triagem onde foram registradas características como idade, sexo, peso, IMC, Grau de Obesidade. Após a triagem receberam oito sessões de auriculoterapia. A análise dos resultados foi realizada através de tabelas contendo informações de características de saúde e medidas iniciais e finais ao tratamento como, peso, circunferência do quadril, abdome, cintura e Intensidade do apetite. Os dados foram inseridos em planilha eletrônica com análise estatística. Para a comparação das médias foi utilizado o teste T de Students pareado e Wilcoxon pareado e foi considerado estatisticamente significante quando p < 0,05. Concluiu-se, neste estudo, que houve uma redução estatisticamente significativa na média do peso corporal, das medidas de circunferências da cintura, quadril e abdome. A diferença média de redução de peso foi 1,9 Kg, circunferência da cintura teve uma redução na média de 2,6 cm, do quadril uma diminuição de 1,9 cm, e do abdome de 2,5 cm, também o apetite reduziu 0,9 pontos.
